Head Cloud formed in 2021 in the East Midlands of England. Made up of Danny Charles on Guitar/Vocals, Jack Donachie on Guitar, Joe Jackson on Bass and Sam Jackson on Drums/Vocals.
Head Cloud blend aspects of Shoegaze, Post Hardcore, Nu Metal and Grunge to create their increasingly distinctive and unmistakeable sound. Taking inspiration from bands such as Deftones, Superheaven, Soul Blind, Hum and Split Chain among others.
In late 2022 the band released their first double sided single, with 'Fade / Smile or Disguise' which they quickly followed up in March of 2023 with 'Slipping'.
Going into 2024 the band released one last single of 'All On You' before entering the Lower Lane Studios to record their debut E.P with Johnny Price. The E.P would be called 'Hard To Exist' and was named for the title track on the 4 song E.P. Released in December of 2024 it was immediately picked up by Spotify Editorials and added to their Adrenaline Playlist where they would remain a mainstay for the entirety of 2025.
On the back of the release, Head Cloud took themselves out on the road as often as possible. Playing their local haunts of Nottingham & Lincoln often, as well as shows out in Birmingham, Northampton, Newcastle and others. As well as their largest show to date supporting Split Chain at Yellow Arch Studios in Sheffield. Head Cloud have shared bills with friends and scene leaders such as Mercury, TNL VZN, Mirrortalk, Airtight, Love As Always and many more.
At the start of 2026, Head Cloud returned to Lower Lane Studios to work on another 4 song with Jonny Price producing again, with the first of these new tracks being released later in the year.
2026 also saw Head Cloud take to the road for a 7 day UK tour with Airtight, taking their live show across the country, including shows in Manchester, Leeds, Brighton, and Southend. The tour gave the band the chance to play to new crowds across the UK and build on the live experience they had developed through their previous shows.
In June 2026 the band released their latest single 'Not Here', accompanied by a music video by Ben Hunt. The track quickly picked up multiple playlist adds and achieved over 6,000 streams within its first six weeks, continuing the momentum built from 'Hard To Exist' and establishing Head Cloud further within the UK alternative scene.
With 'Not Here' marking the start of a new run of releases, Head Cloud will be releasing further singles over the coming months, continuing to build on the momentum of 2026 and moving into the next chapter of the band.
